Combining original 18th century features and 21st century comfort, The Old Post Office offers a large, high ceilinged drawing room with a woodburning stove which will be roaring in chillier times. In summer, the half acre garden, which is the subject of an ongoing programme of planting and improvement, offers a gorgeous spot for relaxing in the sun, barbecuing on a beautiful evening or a game of unpredictable croquet!
Explore the beautiful countryside, watch the racehorses exercising on the gallops or just relax with a cup of tea and a slice of homemade cake. Our well-behaved terrier, Macy Gray, may be persuaded to accompany you on your walk even if she has her own opinion about the route she would like to take!
We much enjoyed our stay with you and, for both of us, the highlight of your delicious breakfast was/were the pears.
Absolutely, memorable. And I forgot to say that our bed was the most comfortable, warmest and cosiest that I can recall in any 'public' accommodation. Quite an accolade, but well deserved.
